When does Zert/Turoko/Kobert come ambush me in the moathouse? My party is lvl 2, and the three nefarious inn guests know i am going to the moathouse since we talked of that in the Inn. I have only cleared the top floor of the moathouse, not gone down a set of stairs yet and have exited and entered a few times trying to trigger the ambush. do they wait until i am done clearing the entire moathouse?
In my experience, they don't seem to ambush you when you've just rested or are otherwise at strong health. They seem to only show up if you're injured. I've no idea what precisely the trigger conditions are, though.
I've rested inside the moathouse, (albeit not easy to do) and then had the ambush happen upon my exit. A muuuuuuuuch easier fight when rested I might add.
Strange because I distinctly remember not encountering them under those exact conditions...I had a save before I rested (inside lareth's room), and after resting they didn't appear outside the cave exit. When I reloaded the save and went out unrested, they did appear. I'm going to have to go back to those saves now and double check I'm not crazy.
Third play through with 4 monks... I had no idea about this ambush---what a pleasant surprise! Really, it was a fun moment because I wasn't expecting it.... I happened to have rested up after killing Lareth-- I also encountered 2 big black widows near the secret exit, in that pentagram chamber....guess Lloth's help was late;p
