I installed 4.0 after I just started the Temple. I can not seem to find a Giant's head even though I've slaughtered numerous ones, including the one with the bear at the Meadows. There a specific giant I must kill?
The giant's head should appear in the inventory of the first giant you kill. I have no idea if they continue to appear if you forget to take it because I've always taken the quest right before going after the giant in Emridy Meadows. Another possibility, did you kill a giant before accepting the quest from the smith? I've never done it that way either. I've never had a problem with it, so I'm just trying to figure out what you're doing differently.
Yeah, I killed the one in the Meadows before I installed the newest version. That maybe is the problem. It was kind of odd to see another giant and bear in that location. I'll have just have to run the command to get the masterwork maul then.
The head is only in the inventory of the Meadows giant. The maul is in that first run off rooms on the first level of the Dungeon (gnolls, Ogre etc - I forget which room).
Was this changed? I thought Liv said she wrote a script where it would appear in the inventory of the first giant you killed. (Though this was back when the head looked like a profile of the troll bone helmet.)
when I was testing the sword of cahoem I killed all the giants in that room by kella and all of them had heads in their inventory (might be the mass kill that did it). must've been on thursday when I didn't loot the emridy meadows giant but his head was still there when I came back to a pile of loot.
