masterwork items for an evil party.

I was wondering if there is a place for an evil party who goes ahed and actually slaughters hommlet to get masterwork items.

I would have done it already myself, but then I will be unable to get anything to enchant. Heck, I killed larath because he was being a pomptous arse to me and that gave me a rep as a do gooder and made some people uncooperative.
I slaughtered mickey to get back monas ball so i could buy the house from the old man, and that gave me the rep of "purveyor of swift justice". (this also worked for the quest where the madam of the whore house wanted you to keep mickey away)

anyways, I was going off on a tangent. Is there somewhere to buy evil stuff?
And where can I find the ultimate evil swords? (i know there are four ultimate swords for the 4 extreme alignments)

 

Try the console.
I "cheat" to get the stuff I want if the alignment I'm playing doesn't have the Masterwork weapons I want (hey why not if you're chaotic evil). but I'm carful not to unbalance the game.

 

masterwork stuff has no alignment and no powers so you can buy it in nulb at the smith and i think skole has a couple too. most of the masterwork stuff is only for sale from brother smyth in hommlet. as to 4 ulitmate swords they dont exsist in this game i did make up all the swords of answering for each alignment and they will be in Liv's 2.0 mod but they arent super powerful. there is no place to buy evil stuff and only 1 good item for sell that being the mace in st cuthbert.

 

Actually, with my 1.5 mod there is indeed a place where evil people can buy masterwork armor without going to Hommlet... they can also get other services that are normally reserved for Hommlet.

Good people could do it too, but it doesn't make much sense from a role-playing perspective.

The trick is that you will have to figure it out. It isn't easy. So far no one that I know of has figured out how to do it.

But it is possible.

In 2.0 there will be more cluse about this as it is apparently too hard to figure out.

This is not one of my creations.

This was always in the game.

It can be triggered in many ways. Most of the ways were broken due to script errors, but yes there are many ways to trigger it with several different quests/situations/NPCs.

It certainly does seem like something that I created, but I assure you I did not. I simply fixed it so that it was working.

hi, its a puny masterwork item. if you want, cheat again and dispose of 300 gold for the official cost, there is always a way to get masterwork items custom made. You can't unbalance the game with that unless you give all your characters everything masterwork at level 1. and even then it will only be for alittle while. Masterwork items are just enchantment templates

lord_graywolfe... i KNOW there is no alignment to masterwork. I am saying that I want to slaughter hommlet but cant cause its the only source for masterwork items i know of. (well reliable source... I cant get the right stuff from the smith in nulb). And what do you mean the four ultimate swords dont exist? there is fragarach and scather. In game i read of fragarach, its creation, and a note that immitations were made for each of the extreme alignments (and their names were given). I was wondering if they actually IMPLEMENTED the immitations.

 

i made the other 7 swords yes and they will be in mod 2.0 some are evil some are neutral but they arent as powerful as fragarach and i even reduced fragarachs powers as well as scathers. all the swords, except fragarach, will be +3 and have either holy, unholy, lawful, or chaotic depending on thier alignment. fragarach will be +5 lawful and holy. this will elliminate some of the problems caused by these swords.

 

Wolf, did you keep the original scather for the ones that still wish to use it, as decided in some post ago?

 

Hi Livonya!! I´m a spanish player of TOEE, and I´m enjoying your mod so much...I loved this game, but with your improvements it´s so much better. When are you going to release the next version 2.0?? Thank you, and excuse my english...

 

scather is still CG but it dosent have the bonus it use to. Fragarach is no longer CG but is now LG so it lost its bonus also. i believe Liv said she was going to put in an option for people to choose if they want one of the new swords or to keep the old ones. one thing i did change since i last posted them here for Liv was to remove the true neutral sword and make it LG too, since a true neutral character can pick up and use any of them without penalty and a LG party wouldnt steal Thrommels sword.

 

well i made the a little less powerful than before and i used it against the balor fine now cause the bonus that caused that problem is gone. the only reason i changed the fragarach was because as it was pointed out to me it was the wrong alignment and scather because i didnt want it being more powerful than the other swords of answering they are supose to be all the same.

 

any hint on where that might be?
