    G'day everyone,

I'm new here and am keen to investigate (initally at least) modding (editing/creating) the map/s of ToEE. I've fiddled around with protos.tab and some of the .mes files, but to be honest I am predominantly interested in map modding.

I've had a browse around the forums (both here and the atari ones), and understand that all the maps in ToEE are prerendered 2D backgrounds with 3D elements overlayed; and hence modding the map could be difficult.

I dont own a copy of Arcanum, but from what I have read I understand that ToEE uses an updated Arcanum engine. I also understand that there is a world editor for Arcanum that had potential for modding maps in Arcanum.

I was wondering how similar ToEE's maps are to Arcanum's (in terms of engine usage - not visually obviously) and if using the world editor for Arcanum would be possible with ToEE?

    Cheers.
