Map 49 - the colosseum

    I've been fiddling around with the world builder. And off course trying to build something following Shiningted's tutorials, i've come across this map.

    Was it suppose to be in the game? Or is it in the game and have I missed it? Does anybody know anything about this map?

    Because the map is pretty good looking!

    Tis a fine map, to be sure.

    Its a bit of fun the Troika guys put together - probably had some testing purposes too. It is hoped to one day appear in a Co8 production as the much-anticipated 'Arena of Heroes' mod.

    My understanding is, it was a 'ladder' type scenario where the party faced a series of encounters. It was recently (in Co8 terms) connected to the box next to Brother Smyth - when the party finally got into the box, they were meant to find the instructions on how to get there or something. (Currently they just get a magic item).

    I don't believe anyone is actively working on it anymore, no :( But as I said, tyhere is always hope.

    Of course, Co8 is just ordinary folk helping out, so we always need help :)

    The concept of the mod sounds pretty good!
    The only thing is that whoever starts working on it will need a lot of scripting skills...
    That's usualy the part where I go like :help:

    I've looked at script's, and looked again up to the point that everything starts dancing on my screen. And my head does :Being_a_s

    Actually the script would be straightforward - just long and fiddly (and require a lot of testing).

    What did you have in mind you wanted to do? I'm sure we can find something in here needs doing ;)

    Well eeuhm so far the things I've been doing with my game is get at least one creature in every empty room. I tought it was a waste of all that space. It maybe unbalances the game but it's good for the XP if you want to get into the levels beyond 12 or 13. The sleeping outside or in the temple just takes to long. And there is some good stuff when you level up into the higher levels! The only thing is that the game get's to easy in the end.

    And now I'm trying to add a few maps onto the Verbobonq mod. Also for fun and the XP.
    And that's how I stumbled into the colloseum. It's way to good to stay out of the game!

    That's about it when it comes to my modding skills.

    None of the scripts seem straightforward to me!:aaaa:
