Just started the game today. How do you find out what magic items do? The little window on the bottom of the inventory only shows like ac and weight. A store is selling lesser bracers of archery and I don't know what they do. Do I need to spend an extra 100 to identify them after I buy them?
some items you can hold shift and click in them in your inventory and that will tell you what they do, but not before you buy them. someone is adding to the long descriptions tho
Lesser Bracers of archery give a +1 to hit with bows. If your character is not proficient with bows, it's supposed to grant them proficiency instead, but that seems to be bugged under the latest Co8 patch and doesn't work.
They all follow the D&D rules, almost without exception, so a D&D site is a good guide. I personally adore this one: www.d20srd.org
