Lower Temple and Node Slow down?

    Why?

    The graphics are not anything more spectacular, so why does this happen?

    With the 5.0 mod it is definitely better. Before the elemental nodes were pointless to voyage into, from the slowdown and crashing.

    Still whenever I enter that room in the lower temple with the lower level mage commander. The room with the bed and the fireplace, it locks and crashes the whole cpu about 40% of the time, or it slows to absolute crawl.

    I am just curious why this taxes the cpu so much.

    If your willing to test, post #18 has the closest thing to a fix for the node slowdown that we have, and I've done everything I (and others) can think of to try to reduce the lag short of actually fixing the A* code in the .dll (because it's way beyond my abilities to do that).

    Ahh.. Thank you very much. Another case of computer genius.

    I got to witness the poor path choosing earlier today. I went from the 3 giant room in the lower temple to the ettin room, and my brilliant thief decided to long cut through the store room. The battle started, and he was fields away.

    Wonder how long till they teach computers to think rationally, or maybe my thief was just scared. heh heh.. Ugh. Aww.. he wanted to get some tobacco out of the store room. Yeah, that's the ticket.
