Looking for a little spoiler type help. The book I got from Lareth has a lock that will not open from knock spell. If there is no theif type person in your party to pick a lock what should you do. Is there some key or somethihng else that will work. Thanks. Zark
Recruit Furnok back in the Welcome Wench in Hommlet just long enough to have him open it. You need someone who can open locks to read the book.
IIRC, you don't even have to recruit him. You should be able to talk to him and ask him to open the book for you, though he'll charge for it.
don't believe these guys. all you gotta do is drag and drop the book to the use item tab. then the book opens up. it is the only way to open a book. if you get the letter for dick rentch, the pirate. you can't open that letter.
Well its true, what would Blue and Kalshane know? :yawn: I am trying a non-rogue party atm, forgot about that book Lets hope I don't have to murder Furnok for some reason before he opens it!
In normal game, the book opens with no problem. But Zark is using Circle of Eight patch, and the book has now a lock. Zark know well how to open a book, since he discovered it has a lock, ha necessarily have dragged the book icon on the use item button, or the "this book seems locked" text wouldn't have shoved up. What he needs is a way to open the book, and Blue and Kelshane pointed out a good way. BTW, since lots of peaople tell you about Nulb location, I do not know if I would still bother with the locked log after first two games. Lareth is such a lousy writer!
