I was looking through the console for lesser known items, and I came across one of my favorite rogue weapons from the tabletop. It shocked me to find out it doesn't have the critical increase, while being identical to a dagger and an exotic weapon to boot.

I wasn't around for the early discussion (and I have searched), so can anyone fill me in one why this is an exotic dagger with nothing going for it?

The Kukri should deal 1d4 damage, have a crit range of 18-20 x2 weigh 3lbs cannot be thrown (no range increment noted in the stat block), deal slashing damage and cost 8gp.

Turns out the siangham was wrong as well, I've submitted both fixes in the 5.0.0 thread for inclusion in the next Co8 release.

Just curious, and for readers who might have the same question, do you mean the upcoming Co8 5.0.1 patch or Co8 5.1.0 patch [what it ends up being], or do you mean the near future final release of Co8 5.0.0 MOD?

Allyx i installed 5.03 and went to use the kukri and nothing.I read that its still under 3.0 rules and needs the exotic proficiency feat. When I click on exotic the kukri is not in the list.Am I doing something wrong?

It could be that the feats haven't been activated in that .dll, or that an older version was used by accident?

My computer has had a Dominate Technology spell cast on it by my evil step-daughter for the past couple of weeks so I can't check it right now. :(

I found out what the problem is.The temple.dll in the culmulative patch 5.03 is being installed into

    C:\Program Files\BoontyGames\Temple of Elemental Evil\modules\Co8-5.0.0

Just copy it over from there to the main ToEE directory

    C:\Program Files\BoontyGames\Temple of Elemental Evil

Now the only problem im having is that there doesnt seem to be any kukris in game:confused:

Glad you fixed it then -_-

The dll is MEANT to be in the modules folder: since different modules use different dlls (for different starting locations, for one thing) there is a seperate dll for each module. When u run a module, it copies the specific dll into the main folder for the game to use.

When u try to get a feat (at levelup) have a look if any of these feats are in there:

    EWP repeating crossbow

    MWP halberd

    Improved Shield Bash

These were all added on top of the .dll with the kukri. If these aren't there either, then u have copied over the 5.0.3 .dll and need to get it again (out of the zip, or re-download it).

If they are there but the kukri isn't, well, let us know and I will fix it or confirm if it is a ToEE-wide problem or just a bug in your game.

I really wish people would read the instructions.

5.0.x is set up for use with Front End. If you don't use Front End, there are a lot of hoops you have to jump through in order to install 5.0.x. It's all laid out in the post you got 5.0.x from.

If the .dll wasn't copied yet, I seriously doubt you have the rest of the patch installed correctly.

(Yeah, I forgot the bit about copying the .dll in the instructions. Just use Front End already. :p Instructions have been fixed.)
