killing zuggtmoy before hedrack?

Where does hedrack go if you kill zuggtmoy before talking to him? His gang is all there, but he is missing. Does he show up somewhere else?

 

How did you manage to get to Zuggy before Hedrack ? Sneak around him ?

 

On the floor level of the temple, there is a secret entrance that appears when you get the skull. You dont even have to go to the 4th level to fight zuggtmoy.
