Does the Oriental Green One ever make another appearance? By the way, trading all my starting items for cash and buying fresh seems to be a rip off - I never have enough clothes, armour or weapons. But I can't seem to turn it off, so every new game has to start the same way. Can this be reversed? How do I shut off the naked start without uninstalling? And where are the Meisterwerk short bows and slings? I can't find any anywhere. And I really need them. And how come Ramos Dhal or whatever, one of the evil traders working for the Temple, has an inventory that fills up so I can't sell any more to them? This is a problem as I have a full Extraplanar Chest (the coolest magic item I have ever seen, by the way), a completely loaded party and as, for the first time, I'm running a CE Death Reaver, a CE Assassin, a CE Bladesinger along with Scorp (and I plan on getting Wonallon and the Troll King), I've killed Burne, Jaroo, Terjon, Black Jay, Brother Smythe, Otis, Elmo, the Inn Keeper, his wife and most of his guests and most other people I can sell to, including Tolab's girl and no one else will talk to me because of Scorpp. But he won't leave peacefully! Oh dear! What to do? ~ PS My rogue's inventory was full when he talked to Mickey and the rest of the party were on the otehr side of the map. Mickey gave up the orb but it had no where to go, so instead of dropping it like in Infinity Engine games, it disappeared into the ether! How do I finish the quest, because I can't fix the teeth, buy the house, have somewhere to sleep in Nulb... etc without it. ~
"I killed everyone and now there's no-one to trade with". Yeah, we'll mod you a fix for that right away  The "ether" that the orb disappears to is simply offscreen. If you take it to Mona, she should still see it in your inventory even though you can't, and you should be able to finish the quest. The masterwork bows are sold by the cabinet-maker, the masterwork slings by the leather-worker, unless you killed them too. Neither may sell it every time since they only respawn 80% of their inventory at any one time (to reflect the fact that little village shops shouldn't sell every item under the sun every day) so you may have to try a few times.
He he! Well, I've never played an evil party before and disrupting the castle building and killing the priests seemed like the "right" thing to do. I guess you've heard all this before, eh? Anyway, I didn't kill everyone, just those that attacked me first. Mostly. Jaroo didn't like me looking in his chest, even though we didn't steal anything, Turgid and his side-kick just had it coming and the pirates and Tolub attacked me when Bertram joined the party, even though he'd already set him free after I beat him in a fist fight. That must be a bug. No one cared when I killed the Druid, but after killing Turgid everyone I meet goes hostile, except the evil and neutral NPCs. No one in Nulb cares, but I can't trade there because Scorpp is frightening everyone. I went to sell scrolls and potions to Burney-the-Bolt and he attacked me too. Then all the goody-two-shoes at the Wench attacked me on sight. It was night-time, so it was quite crowded. But when the Death Reaver was walking around in the beginning with Shadows, Zombies and Ghasts, no one batted an eyelid. One lousy Hill Giant and they soil their pants! That could maybe be put into a new mod - fear of Undead! Oh, I killed Mother Scragend and Countess Idiot as well. I did talk to Mona but didn't get the option, but I consoled in the Orb of Sah and it was fine. Anyway, you didn't answer the questions about Jade Empress and Roald Dahl's inventory. Will I encounter her in a random wilderness encounter and will the traders ever dump some of their inventory? It's been a few game days, now, though, so I'm thinking no. Cheers! ~
Hmmm, slightly off topic (considering the OPs questions) but would it be possible to have the Jade Empress encounter randomised during game play, or a simmilar one..... more wandering caravans and people to meet during your travels... would be a nice encounter to have once in a while between adventures, so you could trade, rest and sleep .... WOuld give teh game a bit more of a human touch
Definitely on the cards in KotB (eg the Great Kingdom guys - at other times you will meet similar parties) but I don't know its a priority for ToEE. If people want to mod more interesting random encounters, sure.
Although I don't care for the Jade character, I agree that it would be cool to meet up with her caravan as a wandering encounter and purchase those pricey items.
Yeah, it would be kind of cool, like the caravan encounters in Fallout. It could also give evil parties some more slaughter fodder. In addition, it would also fit nicely with an idea I had for evil parties, where you would work for the Temple Troop Leaders and raid caravans, capturing prisoners for ritual sacrifices and ogre chow, looting goods, etc.
Sitra - could I be a saucy fiend and ask if you would like to do that idea in KotB? Its a significant section of the plots for the raiders / Merchant Guild.
It's not gonna happen for the opening shopmap caravan in ToEE, because that caravan is extraordinarily well-stocked and not really intended to be a real caravan anyway. Plus, it may be replaced by an actual shop. I agree it might be neat to do for custom party encounters though.
@Ted Sure, but like I said to Gaear, it's probably going to take a while. Between 1-3 years most likely.
