Ahhhh, it's tax time again. The time when winter goes back to sleep for another year and spring is waking up, turning everything from white to green again, painting the landscape with wildflowers and bringing out all the creatures to roam. Bees collecting honey and pollinating flowers, flitting from one honeysuckle to another. And the W2s are sent out. I love tax time. Tax time is the most special time of the year for a single father who claims head of household and gets the EIC credit. It's like winning a small lottery every year at the same time. I understand that married couples don't fare as well during tax time. I think that is god's way of telling us that we shouldn't be married. I heard that from the catholic church.
Yes tax time, I got a rebate this year that just covered my accountant's fee. Still it's nice to start on zero rather than negative whatever.
I get 6 large every year and this year I have to put it towards productive stuff like bills and whatnot, except for the couple of hondos I'm gonna keep and take my family to the best place to eat ever in Minnesota, the Black Bear Casino in Cloquet. They have a continuous buffet that the best chefs in the world cannot hang with.
Looking at a pretty good refund this year ourselves. Mortgage interest, property tax payments, and donations. All deductible! And we paid a lot in property tax in 2009!
Do they have income taxes in other countries that aren't america? *edit* Hugh's from England so they must have income tax. And really big mean dogs.
Boy do we have income tax. This is only the second time I've had a rebate here. Last year I had to pay in installments. The last installment I had to pay on a credit card for which the tax office charged me an extra 3%.
