They've just got the forth miner out in Chile, 29 to go what a great way to start the day.
69 days underground 17 days in the dark before they were discovered surviving on 1 spoonfull of tuna every 48 hours, and now freedom!!

They got them all out now and they are asking for $20 million for their story of being underground. How much do you think the survivors of the titanic asked for to tell their story? Zero maybe? Or how about the concentration camp survivors? Methinks that the miners didn't really suffer if they all made it out ok and are able to try to exploit their situation. If I ever get into a car accident, I'm going to tell the news that I want $750 million dollars to tell of my harrowing experiences.

Now, if they were down there a lot longer and had to make sandwiches from people's legs, that would be something.

They were trapped underground for 17 days before they were found. They had no idea of
what if anything was being done to save them. When their food ran out they had to deal with the fact that the first one to die would be eaten by the survivors.
I think if given the option they would have chosen not to be entombed.
The Chilean president and mining minister were instrumental in organising the rescue before it was a big media event, even though they were advised it was political suicide if the rescue failed.
The rescue brought the country together.
I don't begrudge them any money, it's not as if they are bankers collecting million dollar bonuses while ruining the world's economy.
