From reading some of the other posts, I am getting an impression that this site is primarily intended for modders. Is that true? I am not a modder (like you couldn't tell), so now I am wondering if I am in the wrong place and if I am bothering anyone or if people think I am wasting their time. I really like this game and the mods offered on this site make the game better...much better from what I can tell. But maybe there is a site primarily intended for people who just want to play the game. If so, please point me in that direction. And if this site is primarily for modders, then I apologize for taking up so much of your time. And for taking so long to figure that out.
It can't possibly be only for modders, who would they mod for? They encourage people to mod, of course. It allows others to express themselves and their ideas (though some do so rudely). But mainly it's for people to come and enjoy their work. And, of course, to get help with getting the game to do what they want. Look at the main forum page. At the bottom, is a list of the half dozen or so members, and the dozens of guests present even in the middle of the night. I was a guest for years before I joined to ask a question about the "Doll of Lemur Summoning". I think you're going to get several expression of support for your presence and questions over the next few days.
The site is divided into Community, Games and Modding (with 'games' being dominated by ToEE). Anyone can post anywhere, but we prefer the modding area to remain, well, for modding issues, for obvious reasons. In fact, the forum rules mention that (rule #2, stay on topic). But certainly everyone can post and be part of the community, not just modders. Once upon a time it was mainly for modders, but with the demise of the official Atari forum, this is the place to be And everyone is welcomed as long as they remain civil and contribute something (even if its only jibber-jabber like GA :imwithstu)

Co8, your home in times of trouble. I'll just add that we most definitely welcome 'regular players' here - in fact the vast majority of Co8 members are just that. You supply valuable feedback, as well as generate the basic community activity that is necessary for any forum to survive. So don't apologize for anything scryler, you're always welcome here.
