Is there a mod for fleeing?

    Hi, I'm new to ToEE. I've tried to do searches on fleeing. Apparently fleeing in Ironman mode is impossible. However, I've tried to flee in Normal mode, and the "Flee Combat" option has not worked so far. I've read where others have been frustrated with this aspect of the game, as well. Do any of the mods of Circle of 8 address this issue? Is there any way to get the "Flee Combat" option to work? I have tried to flee the hill giant at Emry Field, the Sea Hag at giant-fish place, and the bandits at one of the towers of the Temple (at that point, I kind of gave up).

    Right now I'm not impressed with the game. Navigating through Hommlet is tedious and time-consuming, and the means for solving most of the quests are arcane, to put it mildly. I like the combat system, but I get the feeling you are supposed to gain levels by completing non-combat quests. It's not clear. The game presents you with many killer encounters, and I get the feeling that my PCs are supposed to be more powerful than they are. That is why it not being able to flee is such an issue.

    You can only flee combat if in a building and near an exit.
