I had a pc cast a spell, while she was casting the enemy saw me and engaged in combat. I won initiative, but with another PC. The PC that won initiative started out with her green bar already used for that turn by the spell that was cast by the other character (it was my archer getting her turn used up by my cleric). This was rather funky, I was sure it would crash or something when i saw the way they were both acting there, but it actually worked out.. I just hit enter to skip her turn and played fine from there. Just wanted to share. XP
I believe thats due to having the same initiative, it's very annoying, especially in large battles, some characters get their whole turn used by enemies with the same initiative, leaving the pc with no action and no move. the only way to get your turn back is to kill the blighter who shares your initiative (unless he kills your defenceless pc first).
that is annoying, and makes it a much more common bug then i had though. it also makes it a known bug... eh, and I thought i hit something new
I have ONLY ever seen this happen when you have re-loaded a save game that was saved during combat. About 20% of the time when I load a save game that was saved during combat I lose half or all my turn. - Livonya
nope, no saves involved. And this is NOT the "no moves left" thing where you character is petrified or some such. This is a case where my entire green bar was used, but i still had my move action. When i had another case of getting ready to cast, and then getting into combat, it just refused to cast (since it wasnt that characters turn). In the case when this happened to me it was in the middle of casting (doing the graphics) when combat started, when it finished casting, it deducted the standard action bar from the current character (a different character then the one who cast the spell). This is all, it did not break anything, it just had one character using up the SA part of another character turn in very unusual circumstances.
