Hi everybody I am a member of the Co8 forum since 2006but alas have not had much time to frequent it regularly. Upon visiting some days ago, after an absence of more than a year, I found we have moved from 5.5.0 beta (the last pack I downloaded) to 6.0.0 Before I launch in a campaign that, given the shallow time to spare I got, would probably last till summer, I would like to know a couple of facts. 1) I see that there are now spells up to level 9, but what about high level abilities? Does, say, a HL monk get something akin to diamond soul or perfect self? Does a barbarian get mighty rage? Does a druid get stronger wild shapes to shift into? I suppose all this is impossible, but I would like to know in order to plan my party ahead. And, if as I fear, it is not possible to implement HL abilities, does this not make fighter classes a lot weaker than casters? And if HL abilities were implemented, is there a list? Up to what level? 2) Do mix-in's work correctly? Is a monk-druid build, to get a strong shapeshifted melee char with high AC due to WIS doable and functioning? Or a Kaze no Kama (DEX based monk/fighter) as in NWN2? I remember in the original game the old classic PAL/SOR more or less worked, but for some other combinations I am uncertain as I don't know which abilities I should expect to find . Many thanks in advance to everybody.
OK, since nobody seems able or willing to answer I'll try to formulate the question in a more straightforward way: Are class-specific abilities for levels 11-20 implemented in 6.0.0?
Spellslinger pretty much did all the meaningful higher level .dll hacking that has allowed glitch-free leveling up to level 20 for several releases now. If you want specifics, you can research his work by looking at all his threads here: Spellslinger's Threads Bear in mind that nothing much has changed here in a few years, so your experience with Co8 5.5 will not be different from 6.0 in that regard. Also note that the latest and greatest .dll changes are and have been included in the modpack for some now, so if you see references in those old threads about needing this or that file or making sure you install such and such .dll overtop your installation, do not do that. That's outdated info based on older modpacks. You don't need to add or change anything; it's all in the modpack now.
