Okay, I'm a newbie, and I admit utter defeat.... I got this game ToEE for a gift a few months back, and it looks great, but it's buggy as all crap. I went to Atari, install patches, now it won't boot. So prowling around on the net, I arrive here, follow the steps in moebius' thread and get... nowhere. :no: Now, I know I'm missing something here. Here's a few questions: 1. When installing the no-CD crack - how do I install the no-CD crack? I can find the file all kinds of places, but no instructions! 2. There are three versions of the crack I found - what's the difference? 3. When I unzip the files there is an EXE and an IFO, but when I run the EXE, it says it cant find the temple.dll. Huh? 4. Am I supposed to replace the original ToEE file with the cracked one? WHAT DO I DO?! ARGH?!
Okay, as further evidence of my newbie-hood, I have discovered that the IFO file is actually a winword text file with install instructions. Happy Day! I will now take (yet) another stab at installing this - curse my obsessive-compulsive streak. Still, at what point in Moebius' install procedure should I put the crack into operation? Thanks! I use a crack that I put in after first installing patch 2 and then Moebius's temple.zip, and it works great. I put in the humble npc patch on top of that, and that also works just great.
