Has anyone gotten it to act like a +1 instead of a +3?

There's a typo, it's up to you where lies the typo, wether in item name or in enhancement bonus.

I consider that the typo is in its name. :p

yes, there was a typo under the enhancement bonus, it was set to 3, however when I changed that to 1, radiant longsword, and Holy Longsword +1 still, both act as if +3

can anyone esle confirm this bug?

ok, well after i changed the ehancement bonus to +1 i started a new game

now the sword works as it should

and for a reward i decided to turn it into a bastard sword (it uses a bastard sword model)

Now, i Changed it to wiegh as much, as a abstard sword, do 1d10 damage, and use the weapon focus Bastard Sword feat propery, I also changed the "name from mes" field (using phalyzr's proto ed) to Holy Bastard Sword +1, but in game it still says Holy Long Sword +1

Phalyzr do you or anybody else know how i can get it to properly disply the correct name (Holy Bastard Sword +1)?

    Thanks-a-bunch

in the descriptions.mes file the opening setniment is this:
// Unless you are adding a prototype, DO NOT PLACE NEW MESSAGES IN THIS FILE
// New descriptions and such go in a module-based file called gamedesc.mes
// The HIGHEST description number you can use is: 1073741822

Does the name of the item count as a description?

Yea it would, so just add the one line w/line number to the file, drop it where they say. SHould work fine then, if not jsut change the main one. You aren't really 'adding' a new one, you're altering a pre-existing one.
