Hide from plain sight

Hi everyone! Have you spent a nice Xmas? I just tried the assassin and I can't figure out the purpose of the feat hide from plain sight...How does it work?Does it allow to hide like children or the two assassins with Smigmal?

 

Not sure about "hide in plain sight", but with decent hide and move silently ranks, you can sneak right up to anybody, and then make a surprise attack. It's as if you are invisible. Very overpowered in ToEE.

 

It allows you to enter sneak mode in combat IIRC

You get to make another sneak attack, It can give you a breather in combat, that sort of thing
