Been walking about Hommlet & Nulb for the last hour trying to locate the person who will tell me the location of Hickory Branch. Any hints will be appreciated. :tired:
You get the quest from Mona the Gypsy outside the brothel in Nulb after you have retrieved her Orb for her. Ask her to read your fortune and she will mark the location on your map for you when you choose what you want. I don't think it matters which destiny you select, but save your game before talking to her just in case. By the way, HB is completely awesome. The version in the 5.x mod was good but the current location is just badass.
Don't worry about. Any "destiny" readed by Mona will open Hickory Branch in yer world map. Totally agreed! The old Hickory Branch was cool, but this new one is just much funny! (weeeel, maybe "funny" don't be the right expression, but ya get the idea...)
Make sure you do the quest before you go to the temple(it might be caused by killing/talking to one of the high priests) otherwise you won't be able to choose a destiny and hickory branch then becomes unavailable.
Cool, thanks dudes. I've been into the temple but have only killed off the earth faction. Will chat with Mona and see what happens.
Oh well, no joy. Monas vision was of a prison that is not a prison. I assume she is referring to the knight down on level three, (forget the name at moment). This gives me something to look forward to next game, think I'll go CG.
Thrommel? I always thought she was talking about Zuggtmoy since she's in essence a imprisoned inside the temple and Mona mentions something about quarry. I believe the partys' quarry is Zuggtmoy but that was my take on it.
Wait... unless changed in this new version, you'll get another fortune telling or something like that...keep talking, t'ill you get the chance to choose between several options.
She doesn't give another chance of fortune telling opportunity. She replies with the same line if you get your fortune told and you choose your "destiny".
It's all good, set up and ran a few dwarves. In HickoryBranch now for first time, Orc central, and I've barely scratched the surface.
Take care about that orc doube-ax! This thing REALY hurts! (well, if you are a good person, at least...)
