Sorry gang but i'm new to this site and I need help with my toee game. every time i kill some thing I can't pick up there goodies!!!!! My cd has a scratch and maybe a file is corrupted? This happed on two computers now but it worked fine on my buddies older computer. I have installed both the 2.0 and 4.0 patches. any suggestions?
You have what we call the "looting bug". It is a DirectX 9 issue. It is not because of scratched disk or corrupt file. When you say you have both the 2.0 and 4.0 patches, do you mean the official patch 2 and Co8 4.0.0? If you have installed Co8 4.0.0, did you install it with the Front End option or without it? Get back to us with the answers to these questions, and we will try our best to help.
I got the patches here and it said to install 2.o first then 4.o and it placed a shortcut front end version on my desck top that said to disable my auto save option. It said the ai is better and i hate easy games so i did it. was this wrong?
Are you using the front end icon to start the game? Have you selected the Co8 4.0 module before starting the game? If you haven't done both, it will run the game with just the Atari 2.0 patch.
Like Kashane said, it sounds like you are either not using the Front End to start your game, or you are not selecting the Co8 4.0.0 mod in Front End.
well i started the game and the options screen is missing the auto save button and the others have moved up one place to make up for it. also when i go to fight the spiders my sorcerer casts 511 magic missles and the it crashes help me play tis gamr cus i used to love it when it workrd
