    Hi

I have 5 halflings characters (barbarian, monk, ranger, cleric, sorcerer), none of them are proficient with the Halfling Siangham. I tried to add it as an Exotic weapon feat but the Siangham didn't appear on the list.

Isn't that a bug ? can it be easily fixed ?

It's strange, I don't see a normal siangham in the protos.tab, and the only halfling one is a masterwork weapon that I'm assuming was added by the Co8 guys...

I don't see halfling siangham as a choice for weapon focus or exotic weapon proficiency when I create a new halfling fighter, so I guess the game doesn't recognize that weapon class. I can easily change the class to something that the game will recognize in the protos. Is dagger ok?

Any character proficient with daggers would then be proficient with the halfling siangham.

Overwrite your protos.tab in the TOEE/data/rules directory with this file. It contains my critical threat range mod (but not the encumbrance mod), and is post Co8 patch and mod, so if you have both of those installed everything should go smoothly. Be sure to back up your original protos.tab to a separate folder just in case something silly happens.

After you click on the file link rename it protos.zip then download and unzip.

Sianghams are messed up. They're in the original game - of which normal ones are sold in the Blacksmith. We didn't add that. I haven't tried using one with a halfling but seeing as though Monks are supposed to be proficient in sianghams, it fails to work for them. I'd say that's a bug.

    Thanks Barthes.

My Halfling monk can now equip the Siangham.
But equipping it disables it's flurry of blow: I loose one attack (my monk is Lv9).

Huh, wierd, the dagger is considered a monk weapon, I don't know why that's happening. Why would you want to attack with the siangham instead of unarmed at that level? More criticals?

It would be easy to change the class to something else. Maybe quarterstaff or club would work. I'll do some testing and get back to you.

The main reason would be: for fun :)

My only druid is Meleny and she can't create wondreous items, so no amulet of magic fist +5 for my Monk.

The idea was to make my cleric enchant a Siangham to +3 for my monk. Unfortunately +3 seems bugged. So it seems that making Meleny cast Greater magic fang (she's lv10 now) on a regular basis would be more effective.

Club & Qstaff woound't be realistic, they're not puncturing weapons

lol, Oh yeah, *fun*, sorry I've been sick for so long (8 days and counting) that I forgot what it means.

Found out what the problem is, according to the manual only *special* monk weapons can be used for flurry of blows: kama, quarterstaff, sai, shuriken and siangham. The only two I see in the protos are quarterstaff and shuriken.

Shuriken is also piercing, and changing the weapon class, AFAIK, only affects what profficiency is checked. A shuriken is also an exotic weapon so it's probably the best fit.
