Personally my favorite is a fighter/Barbarian with Weapon focus,Weapon specialisation,(longspear) Combat reflexes,Improved trip, Power attack,Cleave,Greatcleave

Back this warrior up with a spellcaster with enlarge person, You will pretty much be a far reaching, hard hitting, Greatcleaving pro. (YOU MUST UTILISE TRIP!) It works great against large creatures while your enlarged.

In order you do this. Trip,(combat reflex extra attack)

5 foot step backwards(When they try to get up you get an attack.)

When they try to enter your threatening square you get another attack

You have now gotten three attacks to there one

Repeat with a 5 foot step trip etc.

Rage is optional but if you use it you can also add mage armor to your tank to compensate for the ac drop of rage.

Hope this works out well for you if you give it a try.

You wont have the usual damage of a barbarian until you have this down but if you add improved crit (longspear) to the combo it makes the barb very dangerous.

Using this i pretty Quickly Squashed the entire HB bossfight in around 4 rounds.

Why longspear? IIRC a glaive has better damage dice (1d10 vs longspear 1d8) and gives the same x3 crit and reach advantages. I can see longspear for classes like cleric or rogue who don't get martial weap prof, but for warrior classes I think the glaive would be superior.

Other than that I like this build, I have used similar builds/tactics quite a bit.

You do not need exotic weapon proficiency to use a glaive. Just martial. The other cool thing about a glaive is the slashing damage type, as several monsters are damage resistant to piercing weapons.

I also think the animations for a glaive are much cooler. :)
