Games freezes/pauses for a few seconds when opening menu

    Hey,

    Coming back to play 8.0... I am now using Windows 8, 64 bit, and when I hit the Esc key to bring up the save/load menu, the game pauses for a few seconds... I remember asking about this many years agio and no one had a clue... anyone any wiser?

    The time the game takes to 'think' about things like bringing up menus, exiting, etc. seems to vary wildly from system to system. (Mine takes only a moment to do those things, generally.) Thus, it's more of s system problem (or your system's interaction with the game) than a game problem, sorry.
