I am trying to get Furnok to retire but the dialog won't trigger. He has a mix of coins, totaling in excess of 2000gp (barely). The party leader (only 1 PC) has about 3,500gp value (mostly platinum. I have tried taking him to the Temple and back to Hommlet. Any other ideas?

Does Spring Attack actually work? It seems that the turn ends immediately after attacking rather than allowing a continuation of movement. No, I did not use 5-foot step.

To get Spring Attack to function correctly I had to choose Single Attack action, rather than just clicking on the monster I wanted to move to.

I tihnk he means make your initial move, then select Single Attack (don't just click on the monster to hit it, but select Single Attack from the Radial menu) and then see if you have move left over after that single attack.

A related question would be, if you have to select Single Attack, does it allow a Full Attack after you have moved (which I dare say it shouldn't).

EDIT: Wait wait wait - Basil, are you saying there is a Spring Attack option in the radial menu? If so, yes, use it :)

I believe I tried it the way you mentioned @ted, but to no avail.

There is no Spring Attack in the radial menu.

I've never figured it out either. But Whirlwind Attack DOES work.

Whirlwind attack has a choice in the radial menu.

I find that if I move and strike a character I don't get my full attack action because I have moved, but I still have some action left at the end of the round after striking - not enough to strike again but enough to move after attacking.

That's all Spring Attack does - Move, Attack, Move again. But it is only a single attack.

First, get some good springs. Preferably tight coils.

I've just thought of a target for the Spring Attack.

You realize it's the attack that takes out Zug in the intro movie? We ought to know it better.

yah: can the next person to pull it off (so to speak) detail what they did? Its probably something specifically fiddly like Lay On Hands.

    1. Lament the fact that you should have taken the Craft Ham Sandwich feat instead.

    2. Choose Charge from the radial menu and get it over with.

Shadowblade, would you mind, ever-so-much, delivering me from these Philistines?

I tested this tonight since I have spring attack on my warrior. As far as I can tell it only works half way.

If you right click and select single attack then click on the target you want to attack your PC will move forward and attack while still having movement left over after the attack.

However, during at least the first phase of movement you are still vulnerable to AOOs. I was unable to test if the 2nd was vulnerable or not do to the room layout.
