Hi, I have been experiencing very frequent CTDs when I attempt to save the game (~30-50% chances). The game klinks once, freezes, gets back to desctop and there is a window message asking me if I would like to report the problem. Before anybody asks, I have NEVER autosaved/quicksaved and I have read the thread "common issues and solutions" advising not to move characters when saving. Is anybody else experiencing the same issue (fairly common and I just have to live with it) or did I somehow drew the jackpot again! Thanks
That reads like it is most likely a problem outside of the game. 1. Turn off System Restore 2. 'How To' fix XP SP2 for installing ToEE and ToEEFE if Windows works "strangely".
I am getting a CTD when I load a saved game and its 100% of the time I cant turn off my ToEE as I am afrid I wont get it back up.
Your saves may be corrupted. If you're using quick-saves, this could be your problem. Never use them.
@zandor: no autosaves and, like Spike said, no quicksaves...using one or the other or both can cause problems by corrupting saved games. Plus, once they are corrupted, there is no fixing them; they are corrupted permanently.
