Well, The Yatils come to mind as they can be found in a few modules. pretty much anywhere you have Gnolls
I think they might also be up north in the Burneal Forest, and probably at least one tribe working for Iuz and/or the Horned Society.
I pronounce is as a short 'i' but the long 'i' works too. My understanding is they are Forgotten Realms critters so if you are going to add them to Oerth, you can put them wherever you like
Flinds pre-date the Realms and are Fiend Folio monsters, of course, any GM can put them anywhere they will most inconvenience the party
Dug out my Greyhawk box set. Flinds are explicitly on the Random Encounter Tables for: Bandit Kingdoms, Horned Society, Iuz, Bone March, and Pomarj. Everywhere except the Horned Society, they're found with Gnolls. And I was wrong about the Burneal Forest.
Well that shows how long it is since I picked up a Fiend Folio. I always wanted to add Snyads, have them pick-pocket the players like Dala does in Nulb...
Yeah, that'd be half the fun, if you caught the little buggers. Otherwise it would just be error reports - "I had a diamond in my pocket and then it was gone, I think it was after I changed the screen ratio to 1600x1200 and the moon was on the cusp between Libra and Cthulhu Ascending, please fix!"
