I've decided to start a new game with a totally differnt party from how I normally play (all tanks and no NPCs) and was thinking of just hiring a fighter, so who's better and why Elmo or Zert or "other"?

ps does Elmo ever stop swaying.

I seem to remember there be some suggestion a long while ago about how to stop him swaying, it is silly all right.

As far as I understand, Liv has reduced the usual suspects (including Zert) to lvl 1, but Elmo, as the crowd favourite, goes unchanged at lvl 4. He's a killing machine to 1st lvl parties. And so cheap to hire too.

Elmo has better stats but he is over powered for a starting group. if you want to make it more challenging id take fruella, she is better than zert. she is almost as good as elmo and you get experiance for completing a quest with her. i changed her portrait though. also zert might turn on you after or during a big fight as he is an evil spy for the temple. the big fighter in the wench would be good if you could get him away from the monk but even if the monk dies he want stay with you by himself ive tried.

Elmo doesn't sway if you give him a two-handed weapon.

You mean something along the lines of a big axe? ;-)

    And all this time...

...I thought it was because the axe was holy, not big, that made him stop.

I should have known better. Sacramental wine, and all that.
