    has anyone tried out the easy-to-hard mod yet? i'm referring to the one available to download here:

    http://www.kasec.org/toee/

    there is no description on the site of what it does.

    Well, you made me curious. I doubt this package is compatble with a patched game (the files are from Oct 19th), but it looks like the intent was to make a module that would add difficulty levels to the game (easy and hard). I'm not sure how this was implemented, though.

    And when I went to the site, it did list all the fixes in the various versions.

    hmmm. what i see are the chage logs for the editor program there, not the mod. did you see the mod info somewhere i did not?
