Is it possible to remove the scrolling temple background that's on the main menu and character creation screens? I have to admit, at times it gives me the slightest case of motion sickness -- it seems more pronounced now that I've come back to the game after a couple years, and I'm having a helluva time getting my characters made. :p

Thanks again all, and thanks mostly for making this game replayable!

Yes, you can copy over the 'blank'(ish) background from KotB if you have the KotB Demo installed. Have a look in modules / KotB / maps for a folder called Shopmap (this is different to the starting shopmap, which is called Caravan or some such thing, if anyone is concerned). Copy that Shopmap folder and place the copy in modules / Co8 5.0.0 / maps, and give it a try. If it screws up, just delete that folder again. I'd test this advice before giving it but am at my work PC.

Didn't seem to do the trick, but it didn't cause any problems either. :D

It's odd, I can play FPS games without an ounce of motion sickness, but Morrowind and the side scrolling background of character creating give me an odd vertigo that lasts for an hour or two after I stop playing. :)

Umm forgot to mention, you have to clear the map cache to make this work (don't know if you did or not). If not, give it a try :)
