Hi, I've deleted Temple of Elementavl Evil and Javascript, Co8, Temple+. Cuz I got a new job in July. Now I quit and I want to play TOEE with Co8 again. However, as the instruction says "You need to install Javascript before install Co8": Circle of Eight Modpack Installation Instructions | Circle of Eight Modding Community - The Temple of Elemental Evil (co8.org) No offence to mod devs, but do I must have to install Javascript? I just don't like it, u know. I mean, can't you make a new patch or something to make we don't need to install Javascript? I'm not asking u to do this but just curious. PS. I've already install Javascript and playing the Co8. Just curious.
I think you only need Javascript to run the Co8 front-end. I believe that, having activated Co8 you may well be able to delete Javascript and run Temple+ without it?
I'd say yes, the front end (TFE-X that lets you swicth between modules) uses it. EDIT: Gah, I seem to have answered the headline rather than the thread. In all honesty Agetian seems to have moved on from worrying about TFE-X (the part that needs to use Javascript) but for different applications, you use different languages / frameworks and he moved from earlier apps in Visual Basic and C# etc to Javascript for what I assume was a good reason. So I have to say no, there are no plans to change it though of course its a valid question to ask.
