    Please tell me there's a way to do this. I got my poor kitty killed and I'm tired of the depressing reminder of a young feline's life brutally cut short everytime I travel.

    I'll be happy and excited for the adventures to come and there's a dead a kitty to bring me down.

    Open radial menu->move your mouse towards
    the icon looking like a human with open arms
    and there should be the option "dismiss" next to
    "talk". If you have the familiars' portrait in your
    HUD click on the "?" and then yes. Now all you
    have to do is sleep.

    Hmm I don't see call familiar button. Did someone
    set the penalty time to 360 days (just like in PnP)?

    I am not only unable to dismiss the familiar w my sorc but noone in the entire party of 8 has a dismiss command at all.

    Perhaps I bugged it by maxing out the party...?

    I don't know what it's HP capacity was. I only know that it took 16 damage.

    Is the corpse actually following you? You might try casting a few Cure Wounds on it. It might just be at -X HP and not actually dead.

    The corpse of the kitty doesn't follow me per se. It just appears every time I change maps and then just lays there. Healing it is impossible as it cannot be selected as a target of a healing spell.

    I have not tried using the inn's log book yet but I will.

    If the kitty is in your party line up at the bottom of the screen, click on the "?" in it's portrait. You will then be asked if you to remove it from the party. Otherwise, it should disappear by itself in about 3 days.

    I have exactly the same problem like the original poster. I don't know if he has solved his problem but the comments on this thread didn't help.
    I have three dead familiar and as the OP said everytime I get into a new map, they just stay on the ground.
    I cannot dismiss them or do anything else.
    Anyway to get rid of them.

    another question is do they give their bonus to the wizard if they just stay in your inventory or they should be called to the game map itself and travel along with the party to benefit the bonus they give.

    the problem is when they travel along with my party, they just get killed themselves on the first battle (this is why there are 3 familiar corpse travelling with me)

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Final note : they don't disaappear after three days of their death. It has been a month maybe.

    Thanks

    Familiars do give you bonus when they are in you inventory.
    Summon a toad and you'll see for yourself. :)

    If they are not disappearing on their own after three days then that is a weird glitch. In my testing they always did.

    Here is a script to remove them. Extract it into your data\scr folder in your ToEE root directory. Start the game, open the console and enter
    Code:
    from remove_dead import *
    remove_dead()
    hitting enter after each line.

    This will remove every dead familiar, summoned or charmed creature from your party that is not in the party line up at the bottom of the screen. If they are in your party line up you have to click on the question mark in their portrait to remove them.

    You know, if you talk to the familiar you can tell it to get back into your pack.
