D&D Daggerdale Out Soon - Video

Daggerdale is supposedly coming out soon. Here is a video reviewing the game.

Stupid Job blocks the site. I assume this will be D&D 4th edition rules?

 

Looks like a console hack and slash with dumbed down 4ed rules and preset characters.

 

So, while I have not played Daggerdale and therefore cannot comment first hand, I can say that the game has received a schlacking in several reviews, typically with comments about it being buggy and the feeling that it is still beta quality. Would be interested to hear if anyone on the forums has direct experience.

I do feel bad for the product team that no doubt worked very hard on the game but were probably forced to release to hit some pre-negotiated summer sales cycle.

 

Sound like another game we are all familiar with?

 

This reminds me of Gauntlet. Looks nice though.

 

Speaking of D&D CRPG, it appears that the next installment of Neverwinter is on the way with a much larger focus on user-generated content similar to their Star Trek Online engine (again, which I've never played so I can't really comment on how well it works.)
