The 4th Edition of D&D announced WotC has officially announced the 4th edition. They're pretty optimistic. And somehow I've seen that announcement coming. The official presentation: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G_e5wAUwdmM&mode=user&search= http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=slLNNbcgiSs&mode=user&search= http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_aLXuMb6WWw&mode=user&search= http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uj-9vMYGu0Q&mode=user&search= Just a side note, the grapple pun was so true in the teaser (the beginning of part 1).

it'll probley be gay, unless by some massive accident they've made something I'd maybe want to play, from the look of that I'm not hopeful
Rolling everything into one. I admit some interest. It won't take long until all the old modules get done up by fans for this system.
I just have a couple supplements (Greyhawk Gazeteer, Planar Handbook) and the 3 core books for 3.5, along with a few adventures. It won't be too much of a loss for me, thankfully. If the new system still captures what I like about DnD without all the numbers getting in the way (3.x has this problem for me, frankly), then I'll give 4e a good look. I'm eager for the preview stuff to be released so I can tinker with it.
Just found out about this a couple days ago, from my local game store, as I was spending yet more $$$ on 3.5 stuff.
Re: D&D 4th edition"Confoundingly Angry Kobold" directed to this thread by krunch... found a couple of interesting tidbits... other than that the CORE RULES assume the use of the planes ( to the extent of basic starting races having mixed other-planar origins) rather than say Greyhawk or a generic setting... interesting that zombies may now pull you down like in movies (and apparently suffer crits from the famed 'shoot em in the head' ) - but other than zombies now coming from Romero movies; it seems that monsters in general are going to all be right off a magic the gathering card... (see quote) I swear I have that magic card in my old collection somewhere...
Hey, i got the "Sex slave of the kobold Queen" enchantment...which goes well with the "Horny eunuch champion" dare to trade some? :aaaa:
4th Edition Info I thought it was only fair if I brought it up to give my other source of information than the Gamerzero interviews... this is the page for the people who; unlike myself; actually care enough to track it themselves Random 4th Edition Info Link I thought it was worth posting seperately because the other thread turned into a discussion of various types of combat - and Confoundingly Angry Kobolds.:chainsaw:
