I seem to have a corrupt save. In first level of temple fighting against black spiders or a bunch of undead in the north part of map crashes to desktop after a while. Is there any way to check if a previous save is not corrupt unless I go to the same area to fight?
Well I have experienced CTD at strange times, but when I reload my last save and go do what I was doing when it when kablooie, all worked out ok. Without knowing more in your circumstance, I would just try to load and see it the ctd occurs again.
Hi Gavail One possible clue for a bad save is to check the "Monsters Killed" section of your logbook. If you see multiple listings of the first monster you killed (for example the "Murderous Thief" in the NG opening vignette) then that save is probably no good. I will admit I have never in all my years of playing had problems with the game crashing where you are experiencing it. The Royal Canadian
Ok, thank you. I will try checking the log book on my next play through. I will let you know if the problem has not gone away or if there is something looking fishy in the save. I did upgrade to 6.0.1 after I started my adventure, since I had not reached the areas that should be affected. It would really be weird if this was the cause. Maybe it could be the near-death-chicken that was left at the entry to the temple floor (animal companion). The chicken is dead, so I shall try again. I did test the same area a couple of times, and it crashes there. When I went to other areas on the same level everything worked out just fine (harpies).
