The ToEE program crashes to desktop after the intro at the load screen. I get an ToEE stopped working error message. The program worked fine up until I made it to Nulb then it CTD. I have uninstalled both CO8 and ToEE, rebooted, and then reinstalled both but to no avail. The vanilla version works and the KotB does too. Just not the TOEE since the crash. I have tried changing the compatabilities to win 7 and then even back to winXP again to no avail. I am running win 10 and an AMD7900 card.

The other problem I have is with the TOEE patches 1 and 2. I bought the game from GOG and used their down loader in installer. When I run the patches they cant find ToEE program on the computer. The game is installed on D:\GOG Galaxy\Games\ToEE.

When you uninstalled, did you delete any leftover files in the ToEE folder before reinstalling?

Patch 1 & 2 will not be necessary with a GOG installation, as they come preloaded, the GOG version also uses a version of temple.dll developed here at Co8.

Yes I cleaned out everything. I used Advanced System Care to do a power uninstall and then the same program to do a system clean and optimize. I have never had problems in the past with the Co* patch. I think it has something to do with win 10.

Happens a lot to me. I click on load game and CTD, then just restart the game and it loads fine. Happens most often when I load a party I have not played recently.

    I am using Windows 7

Yes but this is not at the save game load screen, its at the game load screen after the intro. The load bar is just about complete when it stops.

I read an older post that had a possible fix for the problem. The file was called TFE-X.jar. So I downloaded it but found it was already in the 8.1.0 package. So I used it to start the game and it seems to work. At least the 3 times in a row so far. Will see if I cursed my luck by writing this... that and I dont want to jinx it by changing any of the other settings.

I recently had my KotB active, and when I went to activate my NC it always CTD during loading/startup.

Then I activated back to KotB and now that does the same thing.

    Now I have nothing working.

Where can I find this TFE-X.jar file for testing?

If you have the 8.1.0 toee file it should be in there. Otherwise you'll need to search these posts to get it. Or I might be able to upload it here when I get home tonight.

There is a common issues and solutions thread, check your firewall is on the known ToEE friendly list as that could prevent you from playing.

I don't see how this issue could just appear suddenly though, perhaps some other recently updated software is causing the problem you are experiencing.

The NC and Standard versions of the mod are unchanged for 3 years or so, TFE-X for a bit longer than that, Is this issue following a recent windows 10 update? Or less likely a Java update?

No my problem started after toee crashed during a fight. I had no problems with toee before that or in Windows 7. I think part of the problem is with Windows 10. I've had no updates on anything until after this problem started. It seems that the tfe-x has worked for me. So far. I'll keep my fingers crossed. I've installed and reinstalled several times and get the same result until I started using that file. I haven't jinxed it yet by changing any settings either.

Can you try running ToEE with the command line switch tigdebug=file?
You can do so by creating a shortcut to toee.exe and adding
    Code:
    "...\toee.exe" tigdebug=file
To the end of the Target field.

It will then create a debug.txt file in your folder, please post it.
(it's also possible that it will "accidentally" solve the issue, if it's what I suspect it is)

OK, I will try that later today.

On a side note, I reactivated the IWD module and now all my saves are corrupt.

    Does that include new saves?
