I have noticed that you can turn +1 magical armor into +3 armor for free. How do you do this you ask? Simple. 1) Take already found magical armor/shields. 2) Give to your wizard/cleric/druid (item must not be equipped by the crafter) 3) Select the item in the craft magic armor/weapons window 4) Notice that in the right hand side window - you see +1/+2/+3 all in gray 5) Save (and possibly rename) your new +3 armor/shield with no xp or gold cost to you I've noticed that this only happens on found magic armor and shields, not weapons, and not on masterwork armor/shields. No idea if this has always been the case, or if this is new. Have noticed it on several parties. Anyone else see this?
Yeah, most of us know about this already. In fact, it's in my item crafting guide at gamefaqs. But thanks for the heads up anyway.
Now that you mention magic armor, I gave some of my armor spell resistance 13 but over the character it appears as if they have spell resistance[0]. Is this a common bug? Half my characters are walking around with this crap...
Heh, this too is in my faq. The spell resistance and silent moves enhancements don't seem to work. As far as I know, nobody has fixed this, but then I haven't played a lot of the newer mods. Unless somebody's addressed the issue, they're bugged, so don't use them. PS: Always seemed like it'd be possible to fix the resistance thing at least, especially since Moebius was able to add diamond soul to high-level monks.
Damn, I should take a look at that faq then...for my next run at least, I'm almost done with this game. Guess I'll console in all the xp and gold I wasted..
SM doesn't work for me. I've only got patch 2 and temple.zip, though, so maybe somebody has fixed this: in the co8 or liv mod or something.
