    Question.

So I acidentally healed Bing before I was asked to. (Because this was a reload and thought I had talked through that already).

Now I have already healed him, and been thanked. However I cannot get him to convert now seeing as how the task to convert him has already been done before the dialog was shown.

Is there a way to force the dialog? Has this happened to anyone?

I don't want to restart just for this. But then this would have me complete the main bunch of the quests in Hommett.

    Any ideas?

Do you not have a save from before healing him? This is one of the many reasons it is a good idea to keep multiple saves and save often...

Did you talk to Terjon after healing him? You may be able to just fake it and see if Terjon will think he is converted, or give you the quest anyways and then Jakk will convert. If that doesn't work, you may just have to either restart or live with not completing the quest.

On the subject of multiple saves...

Don't use quicksaves. They can become corrupted & screw up your game.

The quest is working as intended I think. There are other people to convert in Hommlet to complete Terjon's quest.

You can't force the dialogue without making sure you reset all the flags and quests (via the console) which you've triggered by healing Bing. I can't be bothered hunting them down to be honest because it's not a bug, just a consequence. If you do want to reset everything, beware of strange side effects if you haven't reset everything that needs resetting.

I didn't have backups saves. This is because I did the whole village in one attempt as I had redone it times before. I just wanted to get past all that rubbish again quickly.

But when I reloaded, I messed up.

I might see about the flags, I'd rather not have to redo everything.

As far as the comments about conversions go...while it is true that you can convert one of two people for Tejron/Jaroo. That isn't the quest really I was talking about.

You have to convert Bings father so that the carpenter will build the barn, so that farmer will shack with the woman, etc etc. That is the path that is blocked now. And Tejron cannot be folled. I even made days pass to see if that would allow that one dialog option to come up. But it doesn't. He just tells me to see Jaroo again, which of course leads no where.

I already converted the mill assistant, and that other random person.

    Thanks all.

I guess the other way to do it would be to console the quest as done. I can't remember it's number off the top of my head but the code is.

    game.quests[#].state = qs_completed

Ah, I see what you mean. IIRC (not got a PC with game on it atm) there is a check to get the dialogue which relies on a flag not being set but by healing Bing first you have triggered it.

Could be fixed, I guess - although is it a bug when you are using prior knowledge? Why should you be rewarded for being so altruistic in doing a quest without being asked to? :paper: When I get back online, I'll have a look at it properly and might put in a failsafe which isn't reliant on the flag (probably use qs_**** as the check instead).
