If you save inside the Brothel with the CO8 patch uninstalled, talking to any one of the NPCs in there will teleport you outside of the Brothel. That is the way it was done in the default files before we edited them in our overriding data files. I believe that they did this because the QA team must have had some people who saved in the Brothel and couldn't get out. About CO8 saves being invalidated but as far as I can tell, they will not be - so long as you keep it installed. If you do have the CO8 patch you should think about backing up your save files and as far as I can tell, the ONLY incompatability to the official patch would be Chris Wood's newly implemented items. We will release a fix shortly after the official patch is released which will include an updated PROTOS.TAB file containing the updated items from the official patch, with our own items added into it. Anyway - my recommendation is to finish your current game with the CO8 patch installed, if you already have it installed, and uninstall it before starting a new game. Simple, until we can come out with a new patch.
If you uninstall the Co8 patch, install the offical patch then reinstall the Co8 patch will that invalidate my current Co8 games? what do you think? thanks
If you do this chances are you'll lose most of the improvements of the Official patch at best, being unable to start the game at worst. You should only install Co8 patches for their respective game version (i.e. Co8 v1.1.0 for ToEE 1.0). Exitium said that they'll release a fix for Co8 after the Official Patch is released, until then don't install Co8 over Patched ToEE.
