So, miracle. 5,000 XP, are you kidding me? I would think if you requested Pelor to Sink the ToEE 50 miles into the earth's crust, he wouldn't be adverse to that.

    Miracle (Evocation)

    Level: Clr 9, Luck 9
Components: V, S, XP; see text
    Casting time: 1 standard action
    Range: See text
Target, Effect or Area: See text
    Duration: See text
    Saving Throw: See text
    Spell Resistance: Yes

You don’t so much cast a miracle as request one. You state what you would like to have happen and request that your deity (or the power you pray to for spells) intercede.

A miracle can do any of the following things.

    * Duplicate any cleric spell of 8th level or lower (including spells to which you have access because of your domains).

    * Duplicate any other spell of 7th level or lower.

    * Undo the harmful effects of certain spells, such as feeblemind or insanity.

    * Have any effect whose power level is in line with the above effects.

If the miracle has any of the above effects, casting it has no experience point cost.

Alternatively, a cleric can make a very powerful request. Casting such a miracle costs the cleric 5,000 XP because of the powerful divine energies involved. Examples of especially powerful miracles of this sort could include the following.

    * Swinging the tide of a battle in your favor by raising fallen allies to continue fighting.

    * Moving you and your allies, with all your and their gear, from one plane to another through planar barriers to a specific locale with no chance of error.

    * Protecting a city from an earthquake, volcanic eruption, flood, or other major natural disaster.

In any event, a request that is out of line with the deity’s (or alignment’s) nature is refused.

A duplicated spell allows saving throws and spell resistance as normal, but the save DCs are as for a 9th-level spell. When a miracle duplicates a spell that has an XP cost, you must pay that cost. When a miracle spell duplicates a spell with a material component that costs more than 100 gp, you must provide that component.

XP Cost: 5,000 XP (for some uses of the miracle spell; see above).

I just ressed Ronalds parents. I love the response when I say "$50,000 to raise two commoners?!?". Nice work all on the dialogue, the effects, and the plot item.

I was half expecting the thing to go horribly wrong and you would be fighting demons.

I wonder if Ronald should stay in the party if the party joins a temple.

I do not think any NPC's leave you based on your actions. Unlike BG2, the AI does not seem to react so much on your doings.

I know some of the npc's leave on certain triggers, so I may well be wrong with my above comment. :)

I have had Spugnoir leave me because of my bad actions. I think that was because I got "Butcher" reputation while doing the WoTGS in 5.5.

Could Ronald be placed on the ground floor during the daytime? I realize that there could be a dialog inconsistency referring to Terjon "in the next room". Could that line be removed from his daytime position?

I am considering to attempt to learn how to mod the up stairway door so that it triggers "Stop Thief" from Calmert unless the party is really stealthy. Without permission, why else should a party of heavily armed characters be allowed upstairs?

That could probably be said for many other maps in the game though. Why should anybody be allowed into private residences, or the upper/lower levls of the tower, etc.?

The failsafe for going up there is that Terjon won't appear unless you've arranged it with Calmert, so you can't do much harm up there anyway.

Can't get into much trouble??? The party can steal all the valuables of the church. I wish I had the knowledge to change the files of doors, stairs and items to make them locked or require strength or move silently checks.

Regarding my earlier comment of Ronald tolerating the party entering into contractual obligations (to paraphrase Calmert), I really have doubts whether a Cuthbertian would do it.

Finally, and just for the hell of saying so, I think he should be Ranger 1 and Cleric 1 at start. It would spare the weapon proficiency and fit in a bit better with his background story. No big deal for me since I can edit his protos

So what? You can do the same thing if you give Calmert 10 gold. The problem with that isn't going upstairs, it's with you being able to do stuff like loot right in front of NPCs without them complaining.

The module makes the point that Terjon has no idea that stuff is there (it was hidden by Y'Dey). If the party find it, win for them.

Ah, I had forgotten about that. I was actually thinking that Terjon should go downstairs to meet the party, and that the only way up would require some stealth on the staircase.

I had another side thought. Perhaps the locals in the church could have some floaters about Myella's baking. I know that the modders efforts have been put into new content to bypass FedEx quests but, in lieu of Lila telling the party where to go for her DH quests, day/night positioning of quest locals would give the town a different feeling IMHO.

I didn't find anything about this on this site, unless I just missed it. I go in to talk to Terjon and I see Ronald. So I take my Cleric who's deity is St. Cuthbert and I choose the line about may St. Cuthbert shield you, and when I do, the game crashes to desk top. Am I doing something wrong or are you not supposed to do that. Other than that. I have greatly enjoyed the new 6.0 NC and have not really had any problems other than that.

If I talk to Ronald with my cleric who is a follower of St. Cuthbert. One of the lines I choose will CTD. The line goes something like this. May St. Cuthbert shield you. I know that's not the exact line, but if you've done what I did then you will see the line I am talking about. I searched for this problem using your search engine, but I have found nothing on this. I just wanted to know if I should just skip it because in a earlier adventure that is what I did. Other than that I have only had a few problems, but have found documentation on here to resolve it. Awesome job by the way too!!

That is indeed a dialog bug. If you're determined to explore that dialog node, you can extract the attached .rar to ToEE/data/dlg (overwrite) and it will work properly.
