    Hi Everyone,

You guys have an excellent forum here! I was hoping I could borrow some of your expertise to help with a problem I'm having.

The only character class that can use spells in my game are Sorcerers. The Clerics, Druids etc have lost the ability?!? When they level the Spell area is ghosted out and I can't choose any new spells. The Clerics can do the mundane level 1 stuff but even when they get to level 10 they get nothing new. My Wizards get new spells but get no options to cast them.

Anyone run into this? I couldn't find a similiar experience in the forums. I've installed the atari patches and also the CO8 patches but it hasn't fixed the problem.

    Thanks in advance guys!

    Hi
are you adding spells to your memory after level up and then resting?

When I level up it doesn't give me the option to learn any new spells. In my sorcerer I get to choose what new spells I want them to learn, but with the others I don't get that option. I did go an rest to see if the game had automatically chosen spells for me but they didn't show after a few days of sleep.

I think i know what might be happening here. Whenever you level up, Wizards, Sorcerers, and Bards get to choose new spells to add to their list of ones they know. However, all of the spellcasting classes with the exception of sorcerer (Druids, Clerics, Bards, Wizards, and high level Rangers) have to prepare or memorize which of those spells they wish to use. If you don't go in and prepare their spells yourself, you will have none prepared.

Open up your characters inventory. At the top of the item grid area are three blue tabs. Click on the third tab, the one on the far top right. That's your spellbook tab. From there you can click and drag the spells you want your spellcaster to ready for the coming day. Once you have selected which spells you want to use, they will have to rest for 8 uninterrupted hours before those spells will be ready. Once ready, you can cast them from that character's radial menu. Once cast, the spellcaster must rest another 8 hours before he can cast those spells again. You can go in and change which ones he prepares at any time.

Forgive me if i'm wrong, but that sounds like what your issue is. It sounds like you're new to the D&D system, the spellcasting is a lot different from typical games. Hope that gets you fixed.
