    Using ToEE with Patch 1&2, Co8 4.0.0 plus 4.0.1 add-on.

When I use Craft Wonderous Item to make a chime of opening, it costs nothing! (0gp + 0xp). But if I try and sell it, it costs 1 cp).

I did a search on the forums, but this does not seem to have been mentioned before.

Looks like the item price has not been set in the protos.tab, quite easy to fix, While i'm on the subject of item prices...

The scroll of resist energy (burne has a scroll of this) has the price of a first level spell (should be second level), and does anyone know the proper prices for the No-dachi, Katana, Wakizashi, and Tanto? There are 2 wakizashi's in the protos, both with different prices.

No-dachi is the Japanese equivalent of a greatsword. A katana is a masterwork bastard sword. A wakizashi is a masterwork shortsword that does slashing rather than piercing damage. A tanto is simply a curved dagger and should do both slashing and piercing damage, just like a dagger.

So pricewise, a no-dachi should cost 50gp. A katana should cost 335 gp (and there should be no non-masterwork version). A wakizashi should cost 310 gp (and likewise not have a non-masterwork equivalent) and a tanto should cost 2gp. If we want to include non-masterwork katana and wakizashi, they should cost 35gp and 10gp, respectively.

According to the Oriental Adventures handbook the prices are as follows.
katana 400 - note says it's actually a masterwork bastard sword
wakizashi 300 - note says it's actually a masterwork short sword
Neither the No-dachi nor Tanto are included in there. For the Tanto I would follow suit and say it's a masterwork dagger and price it accordingly. Since this is not in an eastern campaign though we might want to add a few gold on top just for the exotic wares tax or whatever.:)
I don't really know about the no-dachi though.it would seem to be pretty much a greatsword i guess so maybe price it accordingly?
    Just my 2 cents

edit: hmm kalshane beat me to it.:) that's what one gets for having a post open for half an hour.:) I don't know why there are differences in the costs of the weapons though. Especially when the katana is more expensive and the wakizashi less? strange.:scratchhe

the stats on the katana are identical to a masterwork bastard sword. It should be priced as one... despite the oriental adventures saying it costs more. (thats just setting flavor, if you are in an oriental environment swords cost more...)
