Does Zuggtmoy have some means of breaking a characters weapons? My main character carries a composite longbow +1 and a bastard sword +2. Ever since the Zuggtmoy combat, both weapons do 0d0 damage. They can still be equipped and used (they will do my strength bonus plus any other damage enhancements) but the base damage from the weapon is indeed 0. The weapons cannot be dropped/traded/sold, and I also have a 'Spell Object' in my inventory (which also cannot be dropped or traded). Any ideas on how to fix this? I've tried dispel magic and break enchantment on the character but they did nothing. I've also rested for several weeks hoping the effect would wear off. Lastly, I tried going to Jaroo for spell permanency problems. None of these methods fixed the weapons or allowed me to get rid of the spell object. It's certainly not game ending, but I hate losing the 3 inventory slots permanently (and the encumbrance from the broken weapons).
While fighting the Hezrou I got a similar 'object' in my inventory that caused similar problems. It may have to do with a 'Bestow Curse' spell or something like that. So maybe Remove Curse ??
Corwyn, I tried dispel magic, remove curse, and break enchantment. None of them got rid of the 'object' nor did they fix the weapons. In fact, there wasn't even a roll vs. any specific DC or anything. As if there was no curse or enchantment to get rid of.
And now one further development to make the whole thing even less understandable. While running through the 'Season of the Witch' quest, I came up against the Darkwalker. At the end of the (very long) fight, the bow was suddenly fixed and the 'spell object' disappeared. So that's good. Now if the same would happen with the bastard sword...
Same thing happened to me, I reloaded my game right before the encounter and it did not happen during the next battle.
Since it was from the Hezrou, I tried neutralize poison. That worked and all my weapons are now back to normal. Would not have thought of that on my own (until the next time I got poisoned by something else). Thanks all.
