Sub par AC pfft.
when and how do the tats get ac bonus, i usually only see intimidate skill?
I think you get 'em from someone else (possibly Ma Screng in Nulb?), rather than the lady on the building site.
Yeah, you get them from Mother Screng.
Thanks, I will look into that.
Can you get them for everyone and are they really worth 15,000 gold?
You can get mystical tattoos for everyone, but they replace your armor. I only get them for my wizard and very high DEX characters. Everyone else wears crafted armor.
A Natural Armor bonus of +2 is pretty good. However if you have a Druid in your party its not really worth the money since a Druid can make Amulets of Natural Armor or simply cast/brew a potion with Barkskin.
Also yeah, like Daryk said, it takes up your body armor slot for some reason. Only arcane casters or high DEX toons can make good use of them.
The drawback of amulets of natural armor is that they prevent you from wearing a periapt of wound closure. As nice as a high AC is, it can't compare to regeneration.
solo , it does not matter, once you fall down the game ends regardless, have to have someone with you to continue the battle
Do you mean being reduced below 0 hitpoints i.e <0-10hps? I think that is what you mean. If you are incapacitated in any way does it end the game solo?
yes just -1 (at 0 you can still heal) or subdual damage that would equal -1 hit points, charm doesn't even end the game (you act normally), and any stunned effects, sickness or immobile doesn't end your reign of terror!
I have never seen a mob use dominate person (exception is: at the start of a fight you get access to from the viscount)
SO imo your better off with added AC, WIS, Health around the neck because the regen of the troll is not enough to keep you alive in the major battles
Regeneration isn't that important if you're completely unhittable, why do you think I gave my Monk both the Tattoos and an Amulet of Wisdom?
True, but even a kobold hits on a 20. There is no such thing as unhittable unless you have immunity of some kind.
IIRC the Balor Guardian can cast it.
True, I've been hit by more natural 20s than I like to admit.
