    The entrances to the nodes are at the end of temple level 4.

    Have to ask a question, where are you up to in the game?
    Otherwise you will have to face him pretty near to end game, and it is essential to face him in order to get a few endings.

    Or better yet - just play the game right through to the end and if you haven't found the Balor, THEN come and ask where he is.

    Or even better, call your local escort service if they can provide a "balor" with a whip in a dark dungeon, for some temple worshipping.
    preferably a "balor" with a large "wingspan" if you get my drift.
