I believe so, unless you want to console it away or use it to teleport ypu to Verbobanc. If you want the rep, maybe wait to you get the map link to Verbobanc, then go to town cleansing Hommlett of its Holy Idyuts who try to put down a nice mannered mass killer.
I didn't want it , it was self defense - I was just trying to rob the Jeweler and HE attacked me . I mean is it wrong for a starving man to steal bread to give to his family ? And what if my family doesn't like bread , what if they like jewels ? And what if instead of giving those jewels away I sell them at prices so low its practically giving them away ? How could that be wrong ? There's no justice in this world I tell you . While we're on the subject is there really a way to get rid of the Butcher of Homlet reputation or is that big about doing them a great service just flavor ?
Butcher of Hommlet shouldn't push Smyth over the edge, just the badgers. That said, you could theoretically gain other reps favorable to the people of Hommlet or individuals and counter the rection effects, but that's probably not going to happen, realistically.
