Hello everyone! I come I go, but I always find myself coming back to Co8 after my inevitable burnout on whatever other games I wind up playing. Just massive kudos to all the people involved in this over the years :thumbsup: Anyway... So I reinstall on my new comp and start up again, fun times, but something keeps coming up that I don't remember from before, though that may just have been because I never really looked closely. I'm talking about how the game handles the DEX bonus when you are wearing armor. I have a rogue/ranger (3/3) with a modified DEX of 22, so +6. Yet no matter what I wear I get a message in the AC info saying that my DEX bonus is +3 due to all kinds of different things! If it were the armor I'd say great, assuming the armor capped at +3, but the armors I tried on her were capped at +6 and +4. However, the detail doesn't even mention the armor, it says the reason the DEX is capped is due to my gloves of dexterity??? Fine, take those off, now it's capped because of the gnome ring??? Fine take that off, now it's capped due to armor (but as I said, the armor is rated for a better bonus). Fine take everything off (other than weapons, dual wield so no shield) and now the DEX bonus is +5 (because I don't have the GoD on anymore...). So not sure what's going on, if I just don't understand something, if there's unintended behavior, or what. I didn't try stuff on my other characters, but only the wizard has a high dex, so there's no armor issues there anyway. I will try to get some screen shots if I still have a save of that party (they got wiped due to me playing while I was too tired). Thanks again. EDIT: UPDATE So I did have a save in there, and when I opened the save everything was working correctly. I guess I must have wound up with some corruption somewhere in there. There were a couple crashes when I was using read magic or when Serena went invisible, though I didn't think much of them at the time. Next question. If you do get a crash, are you better off rebooting the computer before reloading a save? I vaguely recall something about that from way back whenever I had some issues before. Also, I run ToEE without anything else running, well other than Avast I suppose. Learned that one the hard way a while back too
