Any character-editing programs for this game?

Well, ol' Galuf's got himself into a bit of a bind.

I swear that mauls functioned on greatclub proficiency at one point in this game. I searched on this and found it that mauls functioned as war hammers. :sadblinky

Now, the thing is that the stats for this female barbarian I have are godly rolled ones (18 in Str, Dex, Con, and Wis, 9 Cha, about 12 Int), so I'd hate to start over again.

I am used to using character-editing programs for games like the Baldur's Gate series, so if ToEE has a similar program, I wouldn't mind using that.

So, do I have any hopes? :nervous:

The character editors aren't all that functional (you can only edit stuff before you start playing, and sometimes they cause a crash), but you can find them at sorcerer's place. Clink the link at the top of the page. You can find console commands and an item list by searching these forums.

You could try setting your experience to 0 with the console, and then setting it back to where it was before and re-leveling. I'm assuming the problem was you chose the wrong weapon focus feat or something.

Actually, the Masterwork Maul is wrongly coded as "Greatclub" at the moment. The normal Maul has the weapon class "warhammer", as it should. That's probably what got you confused. You can always change this with Phalzyr's Proto Editor, though. Open protos.tab with the editor, scroll down to line 4205/4206 and then scroll right to column 72. In your case, all you have to do is change the weapon class for Mauls to "Greatclub".

Just tested that: WF: Greatclub works for MW Maul. Thank Moradin. :tears:

Overall, folks, thanks for the info on the programs there. I'll definitely keep those in mind. :doublethu

Edit: BTW, Morpheus, are you THE morpheus that made the Temple.dll fix I'm currently using?

Don't feel bad Gygax the Dawrf, no one reads past the first letter or two of the names: life's too short.

Wait wait wait... are you THE Gygax...? :icon_chuc

Another question that could go along with this: How do I access the console, and could I possibly edit in a Masterwork Dwarven Waraxe without much hassle (or risk of my game messing up/crashing)?

I'd download the Co8 mod, but since I already have the Temple.dll installed, I'm quite sure it might cause some conflicts.

Besides, I'd like to get over a bit more of my programming phobia.

To open the console press "shift ~" then to get the m/w dwarven axe type "give 4163" press return and it magically appears in to the selected characters inventory.

About this give command. I've used it to get a few things, but I've never been able to locate a list of the item numbers. All the ones people post here seem to work for me, but I can't find them anywhere.

I see people reference "description.mes" "long_description.mes" or "protos", but I have no files anywhere in my game with names like this. The closest I have is an item creation file with some of the wonderous items listed. Do I need some kind of advanced editor program or something to get at this info?

If it matters (I suspect it does), I'm not running co8 or Liv. Just patch 2 and temple.zip.

If anybody could upload a copy of their file with these names or direct me to one, I'd appreciate it, but please also let me know why I can't find this. Thanks.
