Am I now stuck?

I bodged WotGS defender quest, I rested at the Inn to recharge spells and despite my having killed all the attackers they have carried off all of the towns population... oops

I there any way to rescue them so that I can finish the game or am I stuck on Oerth forever?

Brother Smythe has gone too so I can't retire

 

I rested at the inn after I liberated it but b4 I finished the rest of the war.

Ah well :txtsmilie you live and learn.... I'll go find something to kill then restart from before WotGS

 

I made it on the fifth try. Keep lots of scrolls and potions and don't rest. About 10 Fireball scrolls will help.

 

Makes perfect sense my own stupidity. I was only resting cos Wizard had leveled up about three times and I wanted to play with new spells!
Love the new content especially the WotGS

 

That ring from the witches sister, comes in real handy for this series of battles.

The moathouse respawn gives you a chance to rescue a girl from the nasty dark elves by reading a letter the witch has in Lareths old domain

 

Does that ring work only for wizards? Or will it work for any spell caster?

 

I believe it is for arcane casters only.

Pretty sure it was determined to work for wizards only.

 

I remember reading an old post in this forum where one of the Circle of Eight team (I think that it was Sitra Achara or Gaear) stated that the Ring of Resonance only works for wizards. It doesn't work for sorcerers (or for any other spellcasting classes).

As a side note, I remember reading a post in this forum by one of the Circle of Eight team that I think stated that any NPC sorcerers (excluding the recruitable NPCs I presume) in the game are actually wizards because the game engine can't handle NPC sorcerers.

 

I've tried that ring with Clerics and Sorcerers, doesn't work...Definitely Wizard only
